The control should raise an error event if there are problems. At the moment, this would be useful with problems regarding databinding. If there is some invalid fieldname configured, the items are shown with red background and an error message as text. Along with that reaction an error event would be beneficial. Besides the message it should provide a Enum parameter denoting the kind of error.
